This is the presentation Ms. Peters gave to the Francis Hammond PTA on January 9, 2019. The PTA meeting was well attended and three School Board members were also in attendance. This presentation reviews the four events, the measures in place to ensure student safety, how parents can help Francis Hammond, what to do in the event of an emergency and a review of ACPS safety terminology.

Background:

This presentation was developed by Ms. Peters with feedback from the ACPS security team in response to the four 911 hang up calls. These calls occurred as follows: one on December 21, 2018, two on January 7, 2019 and the bomb threat call on January 8, 2019.
