The Virginia Department of Education grants local school divisions the authority to award locally verified credits towards graduation in English and Mathematics for students with 504 plans or IEPs.
|
|
Background:
|
School divisions must ensure that locally verified credits in English and mathematics are available only to students with 504 plans or IEPs who are eligible for credit accommodations as stipulated in each student’s IEP/504 plan. All students who meet certain criteria may be eligible for locally verified credits in history and social science.
